Today is a full day of fun here at MVC!
Our Elementary staff LET THEIR LIGHTS SHINE today!
Away Girls Soccer match today at Mount Vernon High School, 7 PM
Our Ag classes are learning all about different kinds of chicks and you can too! Come to our Fall Festival and visit our Petting Farm to see these cuties and other animals as well.
The seniors are hosting a Swap Meet for all gently used MVC apparel! T-shirts will be sold for $1, and hoodies for $3. Any other types of apparel will be separately priced. Items will be sold during the high school sporting events on the dates listed above. Thank you for any contributions!
Also, please note, the Cross Country meet today at Orcas has been canceled.
Don't forget about concessions too! Tonight in addition to chips, soda, candy, and popcorn we will also be serving pizza.
Recess shenanigans! From GaGa ball with Mrs. McCullough to the Spinami, our Elementary kids love recess.
The annual CROP Hunger Walk begins in the MVC parking lot on September 24th.
Concessions are happening for home High School Soccer and Volleyball Games. Come hungry and bring cash.
Our verse for the year is Matthew 5:16 - "“Let your light so shine before others, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven”. Our goal for every student, teacher, and staff is to let their light SHINE BRIGHT!
Lots going on today on and off campus! Our Middle Schoolers went off campus to Cedar Springs for their retreat. High School took over the secondary campus for their retreat and Elementary had their Walk-A-Thon. Thank you, God, for the beautiful weather and time set aside for growth, community building, and fundraising.
Middle School Student Council elections are today! Here is some of the hard work our students have put into their campaigns. Today candidates will present speeches and then the Student Body will put in their votes!
K-5 Walk-A-Thon is this Friday!
Correction! No Middle & High School Picture Re-Takes tomorrow! Sept. 14th Picture Day is for K-5th Grades and any 6-12th Students who did not get their picture taken on August 22nd. We apologize for the confusion.
Congratulations to our Boy's Varsity Soccer team on their big win over Orcas Island yesterday. First win against Orcas in over a decade, way to go 'Canes!!!
Mrs. Oosterwyk, our 6th-12th grade Art Teacher, introduced our High Schoolers to the art of calligraphy. They have been busy practicing and practicing makes progress!
K-12 Chapels began today!
Middle and High School each had their first chapels of the year. Worship was led by some of our talented High School musicians and Mr. Rast was our speaker. It was wonderful to witness our students worshipping and praising our Savior.
Art is happening! Mrs. See has been a teacher at MVCS for several years, but this year she stepped into our elementary Art position. Can't wait to see what our students create this year.
