This morning, we gathered in the gym to give our MVC Girls Soccer Team a heartfelt send-off as they head to the State TODAY! 🙌💙
It was an incredible moment to celebrate their hard work, lift them up in prayer, and cheer them on as they represent our school and honor God on the field.
Let’s rally behind them with all our support and prayers! Whether you're cheering from the sidelines or from home, let’s show these girls how proud we are of them!
Go, Lady Hurricanes, GO! 🌪️⚽💙

Friday both MVC Kindergarten classes took a field trip across the street to bless the senior residents of Heather Village. The kindergarten students made a Thanksgiving decoration and when a resident answered the door, they were greeted with the gift and caroling from both kindergarten classes. It was a blessing for the students as well as the residents!

What an incredible legacy! Mr. Klunder’s 46 years of dedication to MVC and its grounds is truly inspiring, and the fact that he’s also an alumnus makes it even more special. It’s clear he’s poured his heart into the place. Huge respect for his commitment and hard work over the decades!
🥔🍃 Our Intro to Agriculture students visited Maplewood Farm for a behind-the-scenes look at the entire potato farming process—from planting and harvesting to storage, packing, and distribution. We saw firsthand what it takes to get food from farm to table. 🚜
The Yearbook team toured Skagit Publishing and learned how news is reported and distributed both online and in print🖨️. From the newsroom to the printing presses, we gained an inside look at what it takes to deliver the news.🗞️
A huge thanks to our amazing hosts @maplewoodfarmpotatoes and @skagitvalleyherald for inspiring our students with real-world experiences in farming and journalism.

In ELA (6th grade), we just completed a Chocolate Collection unit. This unit focuses on reading informational text, researching effectively (how to be good discerners of information on the internet), and argumentative writing. We read various articles, letters, and stories to learn about how cacao beans are processed using child labor, the history of chocolate, and how chocolate was used in Ancient Times as medicine or currency. We also learned about Fair Trade Chocolate which supports cacao plantations that pay their farmers/workers a fair wage. In the end, we celebrated with a chocolate celebration and wrote an argumentative or informational essay. –Mrs. McCains
We love Mrs. Stiles!
She is truly a blessing to each of her students and to all of her coworkers. Her kindness, dedication, and passion make a lasting impact on everyone around her. We are so grateful for everything she does – Mrs. Stiles, we appreciate you more than words can say!
While our families have the day off from school, our staff has the opportunity to grow and learn with other Christian school educators at the InspirED Convention . The InspirED Convention is governed by Christian Educators of British Columbia (CEBC) and Northwest Christian Schools International (NWCSI); two organizations with a united mission to serve Christian educators. Please be in prayer for our teachers and faculty as they engage in a time of fellowship, learning and spiritual growth.
