February Focus: Celebrating our Seniors! Be on the lookout for a new senior every day this month.
Mrs. McCullough started her annual cup stacking unit for PE. Cup stacking is a great way to test eye hand coordination, agility, and speed. Check out our top scores from 3rd to 5th grade.
6th - 12th grade students had chapel together today. They learned all about World Vision and the amazing work they do supporting children around the globe. We are partnering with them to support children in Honduras.

Mrs. Westra's favorite memory from working at MVC:
"Come up with a favorite memory from my years at MVC? Impossible, I figured, I’ll have to think back through three decades… But as I sat and thought, I decided it must be something from the early days of RAMM (Read A Million Minutes).
We had a small elementary staff back in the 90’s and early 2000’s. We all participated in some crazy skits and finales. There was a lot of goofiness and laughter with everyone ‘giving their all.’ My favorite memory is from 1998, the first time we did the OLYMPICS as our theme. For the Kick-off, we paraded around the elementary gym for the Torch Lighting Ceremony with the Olympic Fanfare music blaring through the speakers. That was a special morning. But the best and craziest event was the Finale when, as a staff, we competed in our own Olympics…with the kids cheering from the bleachers. We raced around the gym in shoebox ice skates, ran the luge on the wooden scooter boards, and competed in other riotous races that have blurred in my memory, but I remember how hard we laughed, how much our muscles hurt, and what a great time it was. Fun events aside, what I will most always cherish, are random hugs received from students, and the times they thanked me for recommending a certain book because they “just loved it!”
